Discussion Group - January-March 2013

'Hungry for Change: Food, Ethics & Sustainability' is a 6-session Adult Education discussion group based on a curriculum developed by Northwest Earth Institute. Starting at RRUUC on Monday, January 14, at 7:30 p.m., the group will meet twice a month on Mondays until the end of March.

The discussion course challenges participants to examine their roles not only as consumers of food, but also as creators of food, of systems and of the world we all live in.  Each of the six sessions includes reading, short assignments, accompanying discussion questions, and a putting it into practice list of suggested actions is included.  Participants are encouraged to take a role in facilitating the discussion.  Fee for the book is $25. Books are available at RRUUC bookstore.

Overall facilitators are Charlotte Moser and Marney Bruce. No registration fee for RRUUC members.  Registration begins in November 2012 through RRUUC's Adult Enrichment program.
